My family spent our annual week long vacation in the Charleston area 2 weeks ago. Despite our very active days, one week was not enough time to see all that the area has to offer. We found it to be a vibrant, beautiful community with great historical significance. I can say with certainty that we will return. Starting with this fall!

One of the attractions we attended was the Center for Birds of Prey in Awendaw, SC. Which offers a very unique insight into the lives and extraordinary adaptations of more than 40 species of birds of prey including hawks, owls, eagles, falcons, kites and vultures. We spent 4 hours captivated not only by the birds of prey but also by the stunning demonstrations given by a knowledgeable, pleasant staff. Visiting the Charleston area? Bird watcher or not, do not miss this venue!
